Farmlevel Story

Haiti Zombie Desert

The coffee was harvested in Savane Zombi, a coffee-producing town in Haiti known for its model farms. Despite its small scale, the cooperative manages to produce 600 bags of coffee, offering generous payment to growers for their cherries. This Shade Grown coffee, a rarity in Haiti, benefits from extensive forest cover. The cooperative, consisting of 75 farmers in the Central Plateau region with an average farm size of 1 hectare, pays its workers approximately 300% more than the Fair Trade minimum, reflecting the exceptional quality of their product.
